A downloadable game

Some of my ancient childish works I put together into semi-working condition (yes, I'm THAT old). Most of this has been developed for a real, non-museum CGA, but I can't guarantee it still works on such hardware (all I did was a quick necromancy this weekend).

It was aborted on a working 3D renderer stage, so it draws walls and sprites. Keyboard code has been commented out due to the lack of time for debugging it again, so you need a mouse to move (3 buttons are required for strafe). LOD does not work at all (it was never finished), so everything is drawn in 1/8 resolution (I can't tell for sure it's fast enough for a real 8088 as it is, not to mention LOD which should draw some areas in full-res).

The project was designed as a full-size .EXE with extra data files, but it still fits in .COM so I've rebuilt it for the .COM jam.

Left-click to exit :)

UPD: less flicker and LOD1 works in the centre of the FOV now.

Hi, is it ok to distribute this game on the DOS Game Jam Demo Disc? It will be a freely downloadable ISO image with games submitted to the DOS Game Jam with a small menu to select games.

Yes.

Haha, I met the smiley inhabitant. Thanks for unearthing this and sharing it, I enjoyed exploring this ancient dungeon!

You're welcome. I've tested the LOD1 and placed the example as a screenshot. Half of the mr. Football is LOD0, half is LOD1 :)
